The divorce between rap superstars Cardi B and Offset has taken a dramatic turn as financial demands dominate the separation process.
According to reports, Cardi B reached out to Offset asking him to withdraw his demands so they could part ways peacefully for the sake of their children. However, Offset firmly rejected the request.
Offset is reportedly seeking spousal support from Cardi B, claiming that because she earned more during their marriage, she should compensate him for the years they spent together. He is also demanding ownership of one of Cardi B’s houses and half of her net worth, which is estimated at around $80 million.
The Migos rapper has framed his demands as a matter of “gender equality,” insisting that men should have the same rights as women in divorce settlements.
Cardi B, on the other hand, has publicly criticized his stance, calling Offset’s behavior similar to that of a “baby mama,” sparking a wave of reactions online.
