Forme US President Joe Biden, who was diagnosed in May 2025 with metastatic prostate cancer, has begun radiation therapy in combination with ongoing hormone treatment, his spokesperson confirmed.
While the cancer has spread to his bones and is considered incurable, doctors describe it as hormone sensitive, meaning treatments can effectively slow tumor growth and help manage symptoms. Current therapies have the potential to extend life by five to ten years.
Radiation therapy is expected to relieve pain in 80-90% of patients with similar conditions, enabling the President to maintain a high quality of life while receiving world-class medical care.
