Kenyan rapper and songwriter Volvexzshawa is taking storytelling to a bold new level with the launch of his dynamic new podcast, I Am The Voice. More than just a typical interview show, the podcast offers an unfiltered space where public figures can speak their truth, free from the distortion of public perception.

Launched just weeks ago, I Am The Voice has already hit major milestones across digital platforms. The premiere episode amassed over 500,000 views on Facebook, 7,000 views on YouTube, and a combined 30,000 plays on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. It currently ranks at #21 in the Careers category and #200 in Business on Apple Podcasts Kenya, according to Podstatus.com.

“People are often judged based on public perception, but this podcast allows them to tell their story from their own perspective,” said Volvexzshawa, who serves as the show’s host.

With Just Illest joining as co-host, and a creative production team consisting of Film Director Belvin Otieno and Videographer/Editor Xonthedex, the podcast brings both depth and visual flair to each episode.

Each installment blends intimate personal stories, honest business insights, and humor rooted in Kenyan culture. It’s an authentic space that feels raw, relevant, and refreshing — something clearly appreciated by its growing audience.

So far, four episodes have been released, with standout appearances including:

  • Episode 3, which featured YBW Smith, a rising star in Kenya’s Arbatone music scene
  • Episode 4, which welcomed Sandra Mbuvi, popularly known as Thicky Sandra, daughter of former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko
  • Episode 5, set to premiere soon, will feature iconic Kenyan comedian DJ Shiti, a household name known for his viral skits and comedy genius

Volvexzshawa has hinted at even bigger names lined up for future episodes — including a conversation with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, promising deeper political and personal reflections.

The podcast’s success is a natural evolution for Volvexzshawa, who’s long been known not just for his lyrical talent but for using his platform to drive cultural conversations. With I Am The Voice, he’s carving out a new lane in Kenya’s digital content ecosystem — one that blends entertainment, empowerment, and authenticity.

New episodes of I Am The Voice are released regularly and are available on Facebook, YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts. Whether you’re a fan of real talk, interested in behind-the-scenes stories, or seeking smart business insight with a local edge, this podcast is quickly becoming a must-listen.
