Bongo Fleva artist Vanillah has broken his silence following questions about whether he plans to leave his record label, Kings Music, especially after fellow artists Ibraah and Yammi exited their respective labels.

In a recent interview, Vanillah made it clear that he is still signed to Kings Music and has no current plans to leave. He emphasized the importance of personal discernment amid growing public and peer influence, saying, “As you grow, you get many advisors in life. But not everyone will advise you positively. Some only advise based on surface-level observations.”

He continued, “At the end of the day, people are there to advise, but it’s up to you to decide which advice to take and which to leave.”

Vanillah also addressed the issue of artist departures from labels, stating that he sees no reason to leave without a compelling cause. “I don’t see the need to leave a place without a reason that forces me to. When the time comes for me to seek new challenges, I’ll leave—but not just because someone told me to,” he affirmed.

His statement comes at a time when discussions around artist-label relationships have been making headlines in the Tanzanian music industry.
