Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Khalid Dies After 20 Years in Coma

Prince Al-Waleed bin Khalid bin Talal has passed away at the age of 38 after spending nearly two decades in a coma.

According to Arab media reports, Prince Al-Waleed slipped into a coma in 2005 following a serious head injury sustained in a traffic accident while studying in the United Kingdom. Since then, he had been receiving continuous medical care at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh.

His father, Prince Khalid bin Talal, confirmed the sad news and announced that funeral prayers will be held on Sunday after Asr prayer at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh.

Prince Al-Waleed’s condition had drawn widespread attention over the years, with his family maintaining hope for his recovery throughout the long ordeal.
