Real Madrid has initiated a major branding shift by officially shortening the historic stadium name from Santiago Bernabéu to simply Bernabéu, according to reports from Diarioas.
The move is part of a broader marketing and corporate rebranding strategy, with changes taking effect immediately. Digital platforms, promotional materials, and internal club communications have already begun reflecting the updated identity.
As part of the new direction, Real Madrid will also introduce an updated stadium logo, designed to emphasize the simplified “Bernabéu” branding.
The decision has quickly sparked intense debate among fans worldwide, generating more than 830 responses as supporters vote and react to the news across social platforms.
If fully implemented, this marks one of the most significant identity changes in Real Madrid’s modern era, altering a name that has stood for generations and symbolized the legacy of former club president Santiago Bernabéu.
