Taylor Swift is no longer the youngest self-made woman billionaire in the world, according to Forbes’ 10th Anniversary list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women. The title now belongs to 30-year-old tech entrepreneur Lucy Guo.

Guo is the founder and CEO of Passes, a creator platform launched in 2022 that enables influencers and online personalities to connect directly with their fans through livestreams, one-on-one messaging, exclusive podcasts, and other premium content. In just two years, Passes has raised an impressive $50 million in funding, helping Guo reach a personal net worth of $1.3 billion.

Based in Los Angeles, Lucy Guo is a former computer science and human-computer interaction student at Carnegie Mellon University, though she dropped out before graduating. Her rise in the tech world began well before Passes: in 2016, she co-founded the artificial intelligence startup Scale AI with Alexander Wang. Though she left Scale AI in 2018, she retained a significant stake in the company — a move that would later prove highly lucrative.

That same year, she earned a spot on Forbes’ prestigious 30 Under 30 list.

Guo’s lavish lifestyle matches her success. She owns luxury properties in both Los Angeles, California, and Miami, Florida, and often gives glimpses into her high-end life on social media.
