Rising hip hop sensation Doechii was crowned Best Female Hip Hop Artist at the 2025 BET Awards, held last night at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The 25th edition of the awards ceremony was hosted by comedian and actor Kevin Hart and featured performances and appearances by some of the biggest names in Black entertainment.
Doechii triumphed in a highly competitive category that included heavyweights such as Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj, Doja Cat, GloRilla, and Latto. Her victory comes after a breakout year marked by the critical and commercial success of her debut studio album Alligator Bites Never Heal, which also earned her a Grammy Award earlier this year.
