Cristiano Ronaldo has opened up about his ambitions ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, dismissing the idea that winning the tournament is merely a dream. Speaking to Piers Morgan today, the Portuguese star made his stance clear.
“If you’re asking me about winning the World Cup as a dream… IT’S NOT A DREAM,” Ronaldo said. He added, “It’s not a dream for me to win the World Cup, no… To define what? To define if I’m one of the best in history? To win one competition with six, seven games?”
Ronaldo also questioned the fairness of judging a player’s legacy based on a single tournament, asking, “Do you think this is something fair?”
With a career full of club and international accolades, Ronaldo’s comments underline his belief that true greatness is measured beyond just one tournament, even as the World Cup looms on the horizon.
