Apple is reportedly set to unveil a groundbreaking technology this year that will allow users to control devices like the iPhone, iPad, and Vision Pro using brain signals. This innovation is being developed in partnership with neurotechnology company Synchron, which has created a device called the Stentrode.

The Stentrode is implanted near the brain’s motor cortex and is capable of translating neural activity into digital commands. Originally designed to assist individuals with disabilities, Apple now plans to integrate this technology directly into its accessibility tools with upcoming releases of iOS 19, iPadOS 19, and visionOS 3.

This move marks a major leap in human-computer interaction and could redefine the way users interact with their devices, particularly those with limited mobility.
